Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Real Asset - Fund Accounting Supervisor to oversee the core accounting functions for our real asset clients. This leadership role involves managing a team, acting as a primary client contact, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial and reporting activities. The ideal candidate is a motivated and diligent professional with deep expertise in asset management accounting and a proven ability to lead and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting & Reporting:
  • Maintain books and records.
  • Review and/or prepare financial statements and associated reports, including performance metrics.
  • Review and/or calculate carried interest/performance/incentive fees.
  • Coordinate and/or process payments and other transactions.
  • Team & Client Management:
  • Supervise junior staff, reviewing and signing off on work performed.
  • Act as a primary day-to-day contact with on-shore stakeholders.
  • Monitor team members progression and identify areas for training and development.
  • Assist the Senior Vice President in coordinating the team to meet recurring and ad-hoc client deliverables.
  • Operational Oversight:
  • Coordinate the year-end process with respect to audit timelines, financial statement preparation, regulatory filings, tax services, and other related tasks.
  • Participate in projects related to the continuing expansion and evolution of the business.
  • Identify and escalate any material issues affecting service delivery to the Assistant Vice President.
  • Perform any other functions required by the business, reporting to the Assistant Vice President.

About You

  • Education & Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business area, and/or studying for a professional accounting qualification (i.e., CA, CPA equivalent).
  • Experience & Knowledge:
  • Extensive experience in accounting for the financial services sector, particularly Real Estate, Asset Management, or Fund Administration.
  • Supervisory skills with experience in managing or leading staff.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is an added advantage.
  • Experienced in reviewing and preparing general ledger and financial statements.
  • Established knowledge in relation to accounting and consolidations under IFRS is an added advantage.
  • User experience with Yardi accounting system(s) is preferable.
  • Skills & Attributes:
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
  • A motivated, bright, and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines.
  • A team player who is able to manage individual responsibilities.
  • Strong business acumen and good client/business relationship management skills.
  • Possess sound judgment, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
