As a Software Engineer, you will engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure, and robust solutions. Working within a feature team, you will develop complex software, scripts, and tools while liaising with engineers, architects, and business analysts across the platform. Key Responsibilities:
- Produce complex and critical software rapidly and with high quality to add value to the business.
- Work in permanent teams responsible for the full software lifecycle, from development and enhancement to maintenance or decommissioning.
- Design, produce, test, and implement working code, ensuring solutions are maintainable and robust.
- Work across the lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Collaborate to optimise software engineering capabilities and leverage reusable enterprise components.
- Stay up to date with modern front-end technologies and best practices, implementing them within projects.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of eight years of experience in front-end development using React.js.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML5.
- Experience developing reusable React.js components and writing clean, well-documented, and testable code using unit tests.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools; ability to build project-specific front-end applications using shared enterprise frameworks/components.
- Strong proficiency in integrating with RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous requests.
- Understanding and experience with CI/CD principles and version control (Git).
- Knowledge of implementing programming best practices around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability, and performance.
