Responsibilities
- Build mobile chat interfaces: message lists, typing indicator, voice recording
- Integrate REST APIs, WebSockets, Pusher, Ably
- Manage push notifications (FCM / APNs)
- Handle file uploads, media viewer, documents, audio messages
- Implement background tasks, deep linking, offline mode
- Optimize performance, reduce memory usage, crash analytics
- Publish builds to App Store & Play Store
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with React Native (JS/TS)
- Expo + bare workflow knowledge
- Working with Firebase/Supabase + authentication
- Integrations: file picker, camera, microphone, maps
Bonus
- WebRTC (future voice/video calls)
- In-app chat module experience is a BIG plus
- Real-time messaging, socket architecture
