Job Description:
We are looking for a Lead candidate with a strong background in React Native and OTT front-end development. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and scaling cross-platform applications, optimizing performance for streaming platforms, and delivering seamless user experiences. You should be comfortable with UI/UX implementation, API integration, debugging complex issues, and working across the full mobile app development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and development of cross-platform OTT front-end applications for Mobile (iOS/Android), STB, and Smart TVs (Android TV, Tizen, WebOS) using React Native.
- Build and optimize media and streaming applications, ensuring high-quality video playback, performance, and reliability across platforms.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver scalable, user-centric streaming experiences.
- Leverage solid JavaScript expertise to build and maintain applications for Samsung Tizen and LG WebOS ecosystems.
- Define technical standards and best practices, conducting regular code reviews and ensuring consistency across projects.
- Mentor and guide development teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Integrate third-party SDKs and APIs (e.g., analytics, DRM, content delivery, ad tech) into OTT applications.
- Drive performance optimization across devices, ensuring smooth navigation, responsive UI, and efficient resource usage.
- Stay current with OTT and Smart TV technologies, evaluating new tools and frameworks to enhance platform capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of professional experience in front-end or mobile application development, with 3+ years leading teams or projects.
- Proven experience delivering OTT, media, or streaming applications across multiple platforms.
- Technical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in React Native, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
- Strong experience building cross-platform apps for iOS, Android, Android TV, Apple TV, STB, and Smart TV platforms (Tizen, WebOS).
- In-depth understanding of Smart TV ecosystems, including Samsung Tizen and LG WebOS application development.
- Hands-on experience with media playback frameworks, DRM, and streaming technologies (e.g., HLS, DASH, ExoPlayer, AVPlayer).
- Familiarity with microservices-based architectures, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL integrations.
- Strong grasp of performance optimization, memory management, and device-specific debugging.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and app store deployments.
