Summary:
The position involves rebuilding the Car Hire Payables and receiving-module user experience in React, replacing the legacy .NET UI as part of a modernization effort. The role requires translating Figma designs into modern, componentized React interfaces while collaborating closely with the full-stack and backend developers.
Responsibilities:
- Translate Figma designs into responsive, componentized React screens for the Car Hire Plus and receiving modules.
- Rebuild legacy .NET/ASPX UI screens as modern React equivalents, preserving business logic and data behavior.
- Integrate front-end components with REST APIs exposed by the Spring Boot backend and full-stack team.
- Participate in the initial discovery workshop to review existing screens, workflows, and pain points.
- Contribute to the Car Hire Payable MVP targeted for delivery within the first quarter.
- Write unit and component tests to support CI/CD quality gates.
- Collaborate with the technical lead on UI/UX consistency across the broader application.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives).
Requirements:
- 5 years front-end development experience, with strong hands-on React expertise.
- Proficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript, component architecture, and state management.
- Experience converting design mockups (Figma or similar) into production UI.
- Ability to consume and integrate REST APIs.
- Comfortable working from legacy .NET/ASPX screens to inform a modern UI rebuild.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, code review, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Senior-level candidate — role is not suited to junior or staff-level profiles.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience on legacy modernization or re-platforming engagements.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot or similar) for accelerated conversion work.
- Familiarity with logistics, freight, or supply-chain domain applications.
- Automated E2E testing experience (Playwright, Cypress).
