Job Description

  • Perform outbound calls to insurance companies to follow up on unpaid, underpaid, or denied claims
  • Analyze claim denials and initiate appropriate actions such as reprocessing, corrections, or appeals
  • Check claim status via payor portals and calling, ensuring accurate documentation of all interactions
  • Work on AR aging reports and prioritize high-value or time-sensitive accounts
  • Resolve issues related to claim submission, coding errors, eligibility, and authorization gaps
  • Initiate appeals and resubmissions with proper documentation and justification
  • Collaborate with internal teams (billing, coding, front-end) to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain detailed and accurate notes in EMR/EHR systems for all follow-ups
  • Meet daily productivity targets (calls, claims worked) and quality benchmarks
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and organizational standards
