About Retail Credit

The Retail Credit department in the Bank is a Credit Underwriting department for all retail products of the Bank. Would be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of portfolio quality and for ensuring smooth credit appraisal processes in the Region.

AbouttheRole

Regional Credit Manager will be a team leader role wherein all Area Credit Managers would be reporting. Core job will be to ensure smoot functioning of credit Appraisal activities undertaken by Credit Manager & ACMs. Responsible for building a quality portfolio. Ensure underwriting adherence to the processes designed by the bank

Key Responsibilities

Ensure smooth functioning of the region by meeting defined productivity norms and maintaining Turn Around Time (TAT) for Asha loan cases, with continuous monitoring of Work-In-Progress (WIP) volumes.
Ensure quality of credit appraisal for Asha segment, with focused assessment of informal income profiles and surrogate evaluation methods to minimize delinquency and build a robust portfolio.
Drive adherence to underwriting policies, deviation frameworks and regulatory guidelines specific to Asha Loans.
Ensure timely closure of audit queries, policy adherence and compliance requirements.
Track portfolio health through early delinquency indicators (FPD, bounce trends) and take corrective actions at region level.
Gather local market intelligence, including borrower behaviour, competition practices and emerging risk trends in the Asha segment.
Collaborate with Business, Sales and Ops teams to balance growth with portfolio quality.
Drive process improvements to enhance decision efficiency, TAT and customer experience for Asha Loans.
Support roll-out of new locations, sourcing channels and product variants within Asha Loans.
Manage vendors (FI agencies, technical agencies etc.) and ensure quality outputs.
Lead, train and develop the credit team, ensuring capability building and managing attrition.

Qualifications

Graduate / Post- Graduation (MBA/ CA preferred) from good institute
Experience in retail credit with team handling.
