Role Description The RBD Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Atlanta Tele Cables facility in Dehradun. The RBD Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining RBD (Rod Breakdown) machines used in cable manufacturing, ensuring accurate settings, smooth production flow, and adherence to quality standards. Daily tasks include performing basic equipment checks, reporting faults, coordinating with maintenance teams, and following production schedules and safety protocols. The role also involves keeping production records, minimizing downtime, and collaborating with supervisors and co-workers to meet output and quality targets.
Qualifications

  • Experience in operating industrial or manufacturing machinery, preferably rod breakdown or similar cable production equipment.
  • Working knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical principles relevant to machine operation and routine troubleshooting.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical instructions, production drawings, and standard operating procedures.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality control, safety practices, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with production and maintenance staff.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and in a factory environment, adhering to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Prior experience in cable manufacturing or metals processing is an advantage.
  • Relevant technical diploma or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial trades is preferred.
