Job Description: Partner Governance - Investment Products (MF / PMS / AIF)

Location: Mumbai

Department: Fees Department

Reporting to: Head - Investment Products and Wealth Management Strategy

Designation - Vice President (VP)

Role Purpose

To manage and govern strategic relationships with Mutual Fund (AMC), Portfolio Management Services (PMS), and Alternate Investment Fund (AIF) partners, ensuring alignment with business goals and client-centric outcomes. This role acts as the key bridge between internal stakeholders and external product manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Engagement & Relationship Management

. - Act as the primary point of contact for assigned AMC, PMS, and AIF partners.

. - Facilitate periodic business reviews (QBRs, MBRs) with product partners and internal teams.

. - Build and maintain long-term, value-driven relationships with product manufacturers.

. - Coordinate partner participation in internal initiatives such as training, campaigns, and market events.

Product Governance & Due Diligence

. - Ensure product suitability, regulatory compliance, and due diligence for all third-party products onboarded.

. - Maintain and regularly update the partner scorecard (product performance, engagement, service standards).

Performance Tracking & Analytics

. - Track business contribution (AUM, flows, revenue) from each partner across MF, PMS, and AIF verticals.

. - Identify underperformance or gaps in partner delivery and suggest corrective actions.

. - Publish dashboards and performance reports for senior leadership and sales channels.

Internal Collaboration

. - Work closely with Fee Sales Team, Channel Teams and Training team

. - Support front-line teams with partner-related escalations, information requests, or training needs.

. - Provide inputs for annual product strategy, category prioritization, and campaign planning.

Campaign & Incentive Support

. - Collaborate with partners to design and execute time-bound sales campaigns or awareness drives.

. - Coordinate co-branded content and client event planning in compliance with internal guidelines.

Key Skills & Competencies

. - Strong knowledge of mutual fund, PMS, and AIF structures, products, and regulatory environment.

. - Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

. - Proficient in data analysis, business performance tracking, and dashboard creation.

. - High attention to detail with a governance-first mindset.

Qualifications & Experience

. - Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or MBA (Finance preferred).

. - NISM Series V-A (Mutual Funds) certification required.

. - 6-10 years of experience in investment product distribution, partner management, or product governance in a bank/wealth firm/AMC.
