About Liability Sales:

The Liability Sales Department is integral part of Retail Banking Department which brings primarily the new liability business for the Bank in the form of CA, SA and TD apart from other retail business of Cards, Assets and Third Party Investment Products. The department is largely responsible for bringing New-to-Bank customers to the vast network of domestic branches spread across 26 states and 6 union territories.

Sales Manager - TASC, apart from sourcing new high value TASC accounts, manages engagement with selected high value Existing-to-Bank customers through applicable products and services.

About the Role:

The TASC Channel is a part of Retail Banking - Liability Sales which is exclusively dedicated for developing and strengthening Retail Institutional Business /TASC franchise of the Bank which caters to Non-Profit customer segment viz Trusts, Associations, Societies, Clubs etc.

Regional Head - TASC is a essentially a leadership role , wherein the Bank is looking for skilled Key Accounts Manager who shall be responsible for contributing significantly in sustaining and growing TASC Institutional book in respective geography (Circle) and developing long-term strategic relationships. The role primarily entails new market acquisition and strengthening of existing portfolio through a direct team of core TASC Relationships Managers along with collaboration with other business channels viz Liability Sales and Branch Banking. This would also require channelizing synergies with concerned stakeholders/Business Units to ensure smooth operations and seamless customer delivery.

An ideal candidate will be adept in acquiring and building strong relationships with institutional clients, through quick identification of needs and requirements of customers and ability to address those by offering a structured /customized proposition of Bank's solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing TASC sales (primarily Savings Accounts, Current Accounts and Term Deposits) by effectively leading a direct team of 5-7 Circle Heads - TASC and indirect team of approx. 50 Relationship Managers TASC, along with self-sourced business. TASC RMs may report directly to Circle Head - TASC or through Cluster Heads TASC (in larger geographies) with direct reporting span not exceeding 10.
  • Effective market scoping and identifying untapped potential within the geography for expanding acquisition pipeline
  • Ownership of business /budgets of the entire segment (i.e. TASC channel, Liability sales and Branch Banking) both in terms of NTB acquisition and ETB portfolio build -up
  • Develop strong synergy with leadership teams of other Liability Sales and Branch banking for driving segment level performance in the Region
  • Effective Team Management including training, up skilling, hiring, retention etc
  • Ownership of increasing CMS penetration in entire portfolio through Cross-sale of digital/non-digital Payments and Collection solutions and delivering performance as per stated business objectives
  • Responsibility of income generation through Forex/Retail Assets/Insurance/SME products as well Responsibility of TASC Portfolio growth in your geography by cementing strong connect with the topmost clients of the Region and ensuring the same for respective portfolios mapped to each Circle Head - TASC and Relationship Manager - TASC of the team
  • Responsibility for managing PandL of TASC for your region and ensuring profitability at the overall portfolio level
  • Strategic sales planning (long-term and short-term) along with team management for consistently achieving month-on -month budgets

  • Post Graduate (Masters / MBA)

  • Experience in sales, relationship management and and providing solutions to customers. Institutional sales experience preferred
  • Experience in team management (mid-sized) preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude in rapport building
  • Good team -management and leadership skills
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
  • Should be decently conversant with guidelines of KYC, General banking products and CMS products
