About the Role
The Relationship Manager - Platinum is responsible for managing and growing relationships with large, highvalue (Platinum) merchants under the Merchant Acquiring Business. The role focuses on merchant engagement, portfolio growth, solution crosssell, and retention, ensuring Platinum merchants receive hightouch relationship management and commercial support across acquiring products and allied payment solutions. This is a commercial, relationshipfocused role, balancing growth, service coordination, and portfolio stability for strategic merchant accounts.
Key Responsibilities
. Act as the primary relationship SPOC for assigned Platinum merchants.
. Build strong, longterm relationships with business owners and decisionmakers.
. Understand merchant business models and payment requirements to offer relevant solutions.
. Drive growth in transaction volumes, revenues, and wallet share from the Platinum merchant portfolio.
. Identify and execute opportunities for:
. Additional POS / Soundbox deployment
. QR / UPI acceptance and upgrades
. Other acquiring and banking solutions (in coordination with Sales / Coverage teams)
. Ensure achievement of assigned targets and portfolio KPIs.
. Crosssell and upsell acquiring and payment solutions aligned to merchant needs.
. Work collaboratively with internal Sales and Product teams to structure tailored offerings.
. Support pricing discussions and commercial negotiations within delegated authority.
. Act as the escalation SPOC for merchant service issues, coordinating with Service and Operations teams for resolution.
. Ensure service quality, SLA adherence, and overall merchant satisfaction.
. Proactively flag and address risks of merchant dissatisfaction or churn.
. Work closely with Service Managers, Product teams, and Operations to ensure seamless merchant experience.
. Coordinate onboarding of new solutions, expansions, and upgrades for existing merchants.
. Ensure merchant onboarding, pricing, and servicing comply with internal policies, RBI guidelines, and contractual norms.
. Maintain accurate MIS on portfolio performance, revenues, deployments, and escalations.
Qualifications
Optimal qualification for success on the job is:
. Graduation /Post Graduate degree
Role Proficiencies:
. 5-10 years of experience in Merchant Acquiring, B2B Sales, Key Account Management, or Payments.
. Experience managing large / premium merchant portfolios.
. Strong commercial and relationshipmanagement skills.
. Ability to work across Sales, Service, and Operations teams.
. Resultsoriented with strong execution and followthrough discipline.
