Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Radiology Registrar role based at Apollo Hospitals in Bengaluru. The Radiology Registrar will support consultants in performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and interventional procedures, in alignment with hospital protocols and quality standards. Responsibilities include reviewing clinical histories, ensuring appropriate imaging requests, preparing patients for procedures, and monitoring patient safety and comfort throughout examinations. The role involves documenting and presenting findings, assisting in preparing preliminary reports, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to guide clinical decision-making. The Radiology Registrar will also participate in departmental rounds, teaching sessions, audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in clinical Medicine with the ability to correlate imaging findings with patient history and examination.
  • Competence or training in core Radiology modalities, with an understanding of imaging protocols, radiation safety, and image optimization.
  • Exposure to Interventional Radiology procedures, including assisting with minimally invasive image-guided interventions and peri-procedural patient care.
  • Knowledge or experience in Nuclear Medicine principles, imaging techniques, and safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively with physicians, technologists, nurses, and other clinical staff, demonstrating clear communication and collaborative decision-making.
  • Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with relevant postgraduate training or enrollment in a radiology residency/registrar program as per local regulatory requirements.
  • Current medical registration/license in good standing and adherence to all clinical governance and ethical standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to handle high patient volumes, willingness to work in shifts, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Interest in continuous learning, participation in academic activities, and openness to new technologies and protocols in imaging.
