Key Responsibilities
Medical Imaging:
Image Interpretation: Analyze and interpret medical images, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasound, and other imaging modalities, to diagnose medical conditions and injuries.
Diagnostic Reports: Prepare detailed diagnostic reports, summarizing findings and providing clinical assessments to guide patient treatment.
Interventional Procedures: Perform and/or assist with interventional radiology procedures when necessary, such as image-guided biopsies or minimally invasive treatments.
Patient Care
Consultation: Consult with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and collaborate on patient treatment plans.
Patient Communication: Communicate with patients to explain the purpose of imaging procedures, obtain necessary medical histories, and address any concerns.
Quality Assurance
Patient Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and quality control standards to ensure patient safety and the accuracy of medical imaging.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of radiology equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Research And Continuing Education
Medical Research: Contribute to medical research in the field of radiology by participating in research projects, publishing research findings, or presenting at conferences.
Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with advances in radiology technology, best practices, and medical literature through continuous learning and professional development.
