A radiologist is a medical doctor whointerprets medical images like X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to diagnose and treat diseases. Key responsibilities include analyzing scans, writing diagnostic reports, collaborating with other physicians on treatment plans, and performing image-guided procedures like biopsies. They also ensure patient safety, maintain image quality, and stay updated on new imaging technology.

Core responsibilities

  • Image interpretation:Analyze medical images such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds to identify and diagnose illnesses, injuries, and other conditions.
  • Reporting:Compile written reports detailing the findings and diagnoses for referring physicians.
