Role Description
This full-time on-site role, based in Bengaluru, involves managing R2R (Record to Report) accounting processes.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements, which show the financial performance and position of the company
- Accurate and timely execution of month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate US GAAP reporting.
- Reconciling bank accounts and other balance sheets account reconciliation, which ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting, ensure on-time closure of open-items
- Prepare journal entries independently, accurately without supervision
- Good knowledge in accounts payable process to support accounting of accounts payables and related TDS and GST accounting
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain and manage day-to-day financial transactions, build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Support preparation and filing tax returns and other statutory reports, which comply with the legal and regulatory requirements of the company
- Liaising with external auditors and tax authorities, which facilitate the external review and assessment of the company's financial affairs, which is mandatory to have
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, which adhere to the professional and ethical principles of accounting
- Sound knowledge of fixed assets accounting, calculating depreciation, verification of fixed assets
- Assess risk over accounts and areas of responsibility. Apply judgment to ensure that financial integrity of accounting entries, accruals, and account reconciliations are intact and operating effectively.
Qualifications & Skills
- Chartered Accountant
- Mandatory to have at least 2-4 years experience in accounting covering most of the above areas or related job areas in Controllership function
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process of companies
- Experience in preparation of schedules and deliverables for statutory reporting in few core accounting areas and handling statutory audit
- Good understanding of IFRS/ USGAAP/ IGAAP
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of relevant accounting software, SAP or oracle knowledge will be a preferred skill
- Detail-oriented and organized in work.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage high-stress situations.
- Exceptional written and oral communication and reporting skills.
