We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Test Lab Engineer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY INDIA LIMITED. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing tests on our cutting-edge power systems products and solutions, contributing to their reliability and performance.
Job Responsibilities:
. Design and develop comprehensive test plans and procedures for new and existing power product prototypes and components.
. Set up and operate various test equipment, including high-voltage test setups, environmental chambers, and data acquisition systems.
. Execute a wide range of electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests, ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal specifications.
. Collect, analyze, and interpret test data, identifying trends, anomalies, and potential design flaws.
. Prepare detailed test reports, documenting test setups, procedures, results, and conclusions.
. Collaborate closely with R&D engineers, design teams, and production to provide feedback on product performance and suggest improvements.
. Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during testing, optimizing test methodologies as needed.
. Maintain and calibrate test equipment, ensuring its accuracy and reliability.
. Contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes, methodologies, and laboratory infrastructure.
. Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices within the test lab environment.
Your background:
. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
. 2-5 years of experience in a test lab environment, preferably within the power systems or electrical manufacturing industry.
. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, power electronics, and high-voltage testing.
. Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, data loggers, and environmental chambers.
. Proficiency in data acquisition and analysis software (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar).
. Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI, IEEE) for power equipment testing.
. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
. Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
