R&D Technical Product Owner

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to initiate and drive technology, software, product, and/or solution development using in-depth technical expertise in a specific area. Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development (R&D) for in-depth product or technology-related issues. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting strategic corporate technology management and future product/software/solution architecture.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business High Power Division in Bangalore,India

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Responsible as a release manager for virtual drives, ensuring high quality releases and developing release process.

• Responsible as Product Owner for the team, managing the Product, System, Architecture, Integration and Testing Requirements for the product under development.

• Responsible to communicate product vision and ambition (from product mgt), team delivery and quality performance.

• Acts as a link between team and global roles (product mgt, program/project mgt), external vendors or other teams.

• Responsible for the product/software requirements planning and clarifications to understand the product development requirements and prepares the requirements for the team on system/product requirements, covering all aspects of software development cycle of design, coding, Integration, unit testing, system integration and continuous integration of software modules in line with the quality management system.

• Responsible for defining the acceptance criteria for all requirements covering design and development of software modules, module integration, unit testing, system integration and system testing.

• Supports management on people management topics and possibly later take the role of a People Manager role.

Qualifications for the role:

• Graduate/Master's in engineering with 12 - 14 year's experience in software application/product design and development with understanding of software development life cycle process and tools.

• Minimum 4 years of experience with product ownership, skill set also towards non-technical work - Product management and people management.

• Strong understanding and expertise on Requirements management, Integration and Code Repositiory management tools like GiT.

• Strong Expertise in the Embedded application layer development, Embedded System Design and Development.

• Experience in Drives / VFD Simulation programming & Virtualization of embedded systems.

• Good proficiency and expertise in Embedded System Integration, System verification and continuous integration.

• Expertise on Coding - Embedded C , C++.

• Strong understanding and knowledge of SCRUM and Agile Principle with Certification on Agile Product Owner role.
