Kapxha Dynamics is a DPIIT-recognized defense-tech startup based in Jaipur, building the autonomy and intelligence layer for UAVs and counter-drone systems. We're a small, fast-moving team working on real hardware that flies not just code in a repo.

About the role

We're hiring a senior R&D Team Lead to take technical and people ownership of our UAV autonomy and robotics engineering team. You'll lead and mentor a team of engineers, set technical direction across hardware, embedded systems, and autonomy software, and stay hands-on where it counts from architecture calls to field testing.

What you'll own

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of R&D engineers spanning UAV hardware, embedded systems, and autonomy software
• Own the technical roadmap for our UAV autonomy and counter-drone platforms, from concept to field deployment
• Make key architecture and design decisions across navigation, flight control, sensor fusion, and embedded systems
• Review code and designs, unblock the team, and raise the technical bar across the group
• Represent R&D with the founding team on priorities, timelines, and trade-offs
• Stay hands-on prototype, debug, and fly or test hardware alongside the team when it matters

What we're looking for

• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in robotics, embedded systems, UAV engineering, or a closely related field
• Experience leading, mentoring, or informally driving a team of engineers — or clear readiness to step into that role
• Strong fundamentals in C++ or Python, with real hardware experience — building, flying, or testing systems, not just simulation or coursework
• Working knowledge of ROS/ROS2, Pixhawk or ArduPilot, and embedded platforms like STM32 or ESP32
• Comfort operating in a small, high-ownership team where you're building the function as much as the product
• A bias toward ownership — building something real, not just executing tickets

Location and role details

• Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan (on-site) — open to candidates from anywhere in India who are willing to relocate to Jaipur; relocation support available
• Employment type: Full-time
• Reports to: Founding team
• Compensation: Depending on skills, experience and technical depth.
