Job Description:
R&D Staff Engineer SW Quality: Demonstrate Strong technical Knowledge for testing & validating complex issues for SAN switches which use Fiber Channel (FCP/FICON) and IP protocols for transport.
Primary responsibility includes:
- Review the functional specs, test specs created by Cross-site Dev & Test team to understand the product/feature functionality
- Review User Documentation to ensure all the features/product functionality and Known issues are documented
- Creation and review of test strategies, test designs, Test cases, and Test Automation Suites
- Mentor the junior test engineers and provide technical guidance to them to build a high performing team
- Establish cross-functional relationships to improve the testability of products
- Interactions with customers for demos, test qualifications, and feedback sessions
Requirements (Must Have):
- Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on test experience
- Strong knowledge of various types of testing, such as functional, negative, boundary, performance, scale, longevity testing, etc
- SAN/Storage knowledge
- System testing in Linux/Open source environment
- Test automation experience using Python
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, parallel tasks and projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Automation development (Python)
