Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary R&D leader to head the Electronics & Power Electronics Division. This role is critical in driving innovation, product excellence, and technology leadership in Motor Controllers, Power Electronics & Chargers for EV 2W/3W/4W OEMs.

Product Development & Innovation: Oversee the design, development, validation, and industrialisation of:

  • Motor Controllers (BLDC, PMSM, IPM, etc.)
  • On-board Chargers (OBC), Off-board Chargers / DC Fast Chargers, DC-DC Converters, and other Power Electronics modules
  • Ensure compliance with AIS, ARAI, ISO 26262, ASIL, IEC, and automotive-grade EMI/EMC standards

Capability Building: Drive in-house competency in areas such as:

  • Motor control algorithms (FOC, trapezoidal control, vector control)
  • Embedded systems & firmware development (AutoSAR, model-based design)
  • Simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS), Thermal management, PCB design, EMI/EMC compliance

Product Portfolio Management: Rationalise and optimize the existing product portfolio for scalability, cost-efficiency, and platform commonality.

The Successful Applicant

  • B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related disciplines with over 20+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record of successful product launches in the EV or automotive electronics domain.
  • Deep expertise in power electronics, motor drive systems, charger architecture, and high-voltage systems
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, CAN / LIN / UDS / ISO 15118 protocols. Expertise in hardware design (analog/digital), PCB layout, and thermal and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Proven experience in design validation, HIL/SIL testing, and reliability engineering. Ability to leverage model-based development (MBD) and digital twin methodologies.
  • Prior experience working with EV OEMs, Component suppliers, or automotive R&D centers.
