The opportunity:
The Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is the Research and Development center with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists and experts who focus on developing, maintaining - Technology, Products, Digital solutions including product integration, testing, cybersecurity and certification. The India Development Centre is in Chennai and Bangalore which includes various product test labs spread over 20000 sq.ft.
As a Business R&D Experienced Professional, you will be involved in Product integration and system testing, Experience in all phases of Software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile testing, Experience in usage of test management tools like TFS/MTM, Azure DevOps.
How you'll make an impact:
You will be responsible for Substation Automation & SCADA Domain Consultant.
To Substation Automation and Network control engineering concepts and solutions Power system knowledge.
To have knowledge on Substation automation, SCADA systems & Network control center concepts.
To Develop, deploy and maintain a SCADA system.
You will be contributing on IEC61850 based engineering concepts and solutions to be applied in IED Configuration Tools.
To have knowledge on testing for SA Communication protocols like IEC60870-5-103, IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC60870-5-101, IEC60870-5-104.
You will be contributing to functional documentation and review.
You will be responsible for coordination on technical front with stakeholders.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:
Required bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with 3-6 years of experience in system integration, verification, or quality assurance in power systems.
Required knowledge in Engineering or development of products/components for substation Automation/SCADA System/Numerical Protection/Process Automation/Power Management Systems/ Energy Management Systems.
Required Knowledge in Implementing or Engineering with Communication protocols: IEC61850.
Knowledge of product integration and system testing and experience in all phases of Software Development cycle, agile testing also test management tools like TFS/MTM, Azure DevOps.
Should be a team player. understand and optimize the architecture and design aspects from Domain perspective.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
