This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. TheIndia Development Centreis situated in Chennai and Bangalore.IDCcollaborates with the R&D and Research centres of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries.In the past 20 years,IDChas secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.Develop, deliver, andmaintainbase models for various applications in different simulation environments to fulfil business needs for different stakeholders in power quality and power conversion.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Developing Base models andcomponentdevelopment in PSCAD, PSSEDig SILENT, Power Factoryand EMTP-RV for Power electronics-based applications.

  • Understand the customer requirements and developing models for customers in the above-mentioned software. Responsible fordeveloping scalablemodels andmaintainingthem in line with control platform changes.

  • Extensivecontact withengineering groups(PowerQuality, Powerconversionand LPSTATCOM),Application engineering,and Product management.Writingtechnical reports for the Base models tofacilitatethe ease of using the models.

  • Model troubleshooting, fault tracingissuesand supporting customers in adapting the models to the customer-specific networks.Simulation model benchmarking in different simulation software's

  • Understanding grid codes and adapting the modelsin accordance withthe requirements.

  • Diligently follow the process and guidelines around modeldeliverythereby ensuring the quality and on time delivery of the simulation model.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Living Hitachi Energy's corevaluessafety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your Background:

  • Required ME Power Systems / ME Power Electronics with 0-3+ years of experience inmodellingIBR'sforpower quality and power conversion applications.

  • You should have experience in simulation tools such as EMTDC / PSCAD, PSS/E,EMPTV-RV andDig SilentPower factory.Required Goodknowledge of FORTRAN, Python,MATLABand C.

  • Understanding application of Power Electronics in HV/EHV system. Experience in performing power system studies like load flow, short circuit, transient stability and switching transients for utility / industrial.systems.

  • Familiar with IEEE/CIGREguidelines for simulation model development.Good knowledge of Power Systems equipment and their purpose.

  • Curiosity to explore and continuously learn changing power systemlandscape.

  • Zeal to explore the potential of different simulationsoftware.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
