Job Description
Product Vision & Roadmap
- Define and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business needs, regulatory compliance, and market trends.
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management, from ideation to release and beyond.
- Translate complex business requirements into actionable user stories, ensuring clarity and feasibility for engineering teams.
Functional & Domain Leadership
- Leverage deep banking domain expertise to guide technical and business teams on Deposits, Payments, General Ledger Operations, and Compliance.
- Contribute to defining functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of banking applications.
- Mentor teams in understanding banking processes, business rules, and customer journeys.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Enablement
- Work closely with business teams, product managers, architects, and engineering teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
- Act as a functional expert, guiding teams on Core Banking best practices, regulatory considerations, and customer needs.
- Engage with external and internal stakeholders to prioritize and refine product backlog.
Agile Delivery & Execution
- Collaborate with Agile teams to refine, prioritize, and deliver features using Agile methodologies.
- Define Acceptance Criteria, MVP definitions, and work with teams to optimize delivery.
- Support governance of product teams to ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency.
Cloud-Native & SaaS-Based Banking Solutions (Good to Have)
- Exposure to Cloud-Native Banking and SaaS-based Core Banking Solutions, with an understanding of multi-tenant architectures and how they impact financial product design.
- Define API-driven banking experiences and integrate Open API specifications for seamless financial services delivery.
- Work with DevSecOps teams to ensure efficient deployment pipelines for banking solutions.
Total Experience Expected: 11-15 years
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical/business field.
- 13+ years of overall experience, with 8+ years in business and functional leadership roles within Core Banking.
- Proven experience delivering banking solutions from concept to production, ensuring scalability, compliance, and security.
- Deep functional expertise in Core Banking (Deposits & Savings, CASA, Interest Calculations, General Ledger, Clearing & Settlement, Reconciliations, Regulatory Compliance, and Financial Workflows).
- Strong understanding of customer journeys and business workflows in Core Banking.
- Experience working as an SME or Functional Expert on a Core Banking System (CBS).
