As a R&D Leader, strong technical background in AI, practical experience with AI-powered development tools like Cursor and GitHub Copilot, Low-code/No-code platforms and proven leadership in driving technological adoption and innovation within an R&D environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in refining strategy, enhancing best practices, and accelerating the delivery of cutting-edge solutions across the department.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • CoE Leadership & Strategy:
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of LCNC developers and AI specialists, fostering their growth and expertise.
  • AI Integration & Innovation:
    • Drive the strategic integration of AI capabilities into LCNC platforms and developed applications.
    • Identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging AI technologies and trends relevant to LCNC development.
    • Champion the use of AI assistants (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to enhance developer productivity, code quality, and innovation across R&D teams.
    • Develop and implement training programs and guidelines for effective utilization of AI coding assistants.
  • Low-code/No-code Application Development:
    • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of application development using LCNC platforms, from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
    • Collaborate with various R&D teams and business units to identify opportunities for LCNC solutions that address critical business needs.
    • Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of applications developed within the CoE.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Evangelism:
    • Act as a subject matter expert and evangelist for AI and LCNC technologies.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration across the unit.
Key Skills And Experience

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in R&D, software development, or technology leadership roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts, machine learning and their practical application in software development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Software Architecture and Design and programming languages viz. Python, Java
  • Hands-on experience and proficiency with AI-powered coding assistants such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot and Low-code/No-code platforms.
  • Proven experience with leading Low-code/No-code platforms
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and application architecture principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across an organization.

Nice-To-Have:

  • Experience leading and evolving an established Center of Excellence or similar innovation hub.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in telecommunications domain or related high-tech industries.
