Job Description for Solvent-Based Industrial Paint researcher
Experience: 5-6 years of experience are mandatory.
1. Must have exposure to industrial paints and coatings, especially alkyd, PU, epoxy paints, etc., formulation development.
2. Anticipates, recognizes and resolves technical issues which arise during Industrial product formulation development, evaluating alternatives and initiating corrective
actions through research and well-formulated, logical experimentation
3. Carries out research to identify new technologies in solvent-based line to optimize the production of the company's solvent-based products
4. Prepare industrial product test specifications.
5. Must have exposure to the raw materials used in industrial paint systems.
6. Maintain Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
7. Develop customized colours for Industrial paint products as requested by customers
8. Must have exposure to the testing instruments used in paint development and production.
9. Able to visit the customer site and resolve the problems at the site.
10. Able to standardize laboratory formulations for production machines.
11. Ensure all laboratory equipment functions optimally at all times and follow up with relevant departments for the servicing and calibration when due.
