R&D Engineer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Distribution Solutions Division in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Responsible for development of Product features for ABB Zenon and ZEE60

• Demonstrates sound understanding and usages of R&D processes and tools.

• Align with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and complete project deliverables.

• Collaborate well with the team, to deliver the Product releases on time, with good quality. Should have good communication skills.

• Propose innovative solutions for customer requirements.

• Implement Product features based on requirements.

• Based on existing design guidelines, develop product features, maintaining UI/UX design concepts

Qualifications for the role:

• BE / B. Tech / ME / M. Tech, Computer Science/ Electrical or/Electronics and communication / Electronics and Instrumentation.

• Experience : 3 to 6 years experience in Software development using .NET technologies, preferably using C# .NET and WPF.

• Strong object oriented programming and design skills

• Good to have: Knowledge in SCADA system (communication with IEC61850)

• Should have good analytical and problem solving skills.

• Should have good knowledge on design concepts.

• Should be able to provide inputs for creating test cases, for customer requirements.

• Familiarity with continuous integration using TFS/GIT.
