Job Description

The R&D Chef at Foodwishperer is a senior culinary innovation position responsible for leading recipe development, food product research, and menu creation while ensuring scalability, food safety, and alignment with brand vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recipe Development: Create, test, and refine innovative recipes and food concepts.
  • Food Trend Research: Analyze emerging culinary trends, consumer preferences, and ingredient innovations.
  • Product Scaling: Adapt recipes for mass production while maintaining taste, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, procurement, and production teams to commercialize new products.
  • Food Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to HACCP, nutritional standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Training & Mentorship: Guide chefs and kitchen staff on new techniques and recipes.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of culinary experiments, iterations, and outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Culinary Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years in culinary roles, with proven R&D or product development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of food science, nutrition, and sensory evaluation.
  • Ability to balance creativity with cost-effectiveness and scalability.
  • Excellent communication skills for pitching ideas to leadership and stakeholders.
