This Position reports to:

R&D Team Lead


Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing your assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification - Smart Power division in Hyderabad, Bangalore. Your role will support product development activities for AU Protection & Switching, BL Power Distribution.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • In this role you will work on business priority projects of defined scope, apply concepts to issues of moderate to high complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
  • Demonstrate good technical proficiency in own area of competence, working as a dependable team-member for R&D projects
  • Perform a variety of technology / engineering assignments, demonstrating an ability to recognize problems and provide input to solutions.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to assure requirements are met build strong relationships
  • Communicate status and problems to project leaders and management
  • Contribute towards documentation of technical design details & test results participate in program reviews, and prepare invention disclosures where appropriate
  • Undertake training and instructions where appropriate

Qualifications for the role:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years of experience OR
  • Master's degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Thermal Engineering with 0-3 years of experience.
  • Experience in R&D teams with exposure to product design & development, experience in thermal management of Switchgear Product.
  • Proficient in CFD simulation tools for thermal Analysis and CAD Tools like Creo, Pro/ENGINEER etc.
  • Good awareness of thermal management in Circuit breaker / latest technology trend for solving thermal problem.
  • Highly motivated team-player with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
