Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Quantum Physics Research Mentor, guiding high school students through advanced research projects in quantum physics. Responsibilities include mentoring students on theoretical and applied quantum physics concepts, helping them design, refine, and present high-quality research projects, and providing constructive feedback on their work. The role also involves fostering curiosity, encouraging scientific inquiry, and ensuring students understand and apply core principles in their research.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational understanding of Quantum Physics and related research
  • Experience in mentoring or teaching high school or undergraduate students
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and encourage critical thinking
  • Proficiency in research design, academic writing, and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with online collaboration tools and virtual mentoring
  • Commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds
  • Ph.D. in Physics, Quantum Mechanics, or a related field
