Job Description

Position: Quantity Surveyor

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience, or
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience.
  • Experience in quantity surveying, billing, estimation, and cost control for civil construction/infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and verify quantity take-offs, measurements, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) as per drawings and project specifications.
  • Conduct site measurements and verify quantities of work executed.
  • Prepare and review RA Bills, contractor bills, and measurement sheets.
  • Monitor project quantities, costs, and variations against approved BOQ and contracts.
  • Assist in preparation of cost estimates, rate analysis, and budget requirements.
  • Review drawings and specifications to identify changes in quantities and scope.
  • Coordinate with Civil Engineers, Project Managers, Contractors, Consultants, and other stakeholders regarding measurements and billing.
  • Track variations, additional works, and deviations and maintain proper documentation.
  • Verify material consumption and reconcile quantities wherever required.
  • Maintain accurate records of measurements, quantities, bills, and cost-related documents.
  • Support project teams in commercial and contractual matters related to quantities and measurements.
  • Prepare periodic quantity and cost reports for management review.
  • Ensure all quantity surveying activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, estimation, measurement, and billing.
  • Good understanding of civil construction and infrastructure works.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contracts.
  • Knowledge of rate analysis, quantity take-off, and cost control.
  • Good proficiency in MS Excel and relevant quantity surveying/estimation software.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness to work at project/site locations as required.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in Railway Infrastructure, Highways, Roads, Bridges, Industrial Projects, or other large-scale Civil Infrastructure Projects will be preferred.
