Quantity Surveyor

The Quantity Surveyor (QS) will be responsible for managing all financial and contractual

aspects of civil construction projects, ensuring cost control, accurate estimation, timely

billing, and contract compliance. The role demands a strong understanding of project

execution, cost analysis, and coordination with site and commercial teams.

2. Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Contract Activities:

- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analyses for new tenders and projects.

- Conduct material quantity take-offs and validate against drawings and specifications.

- Develop budget forecasts and support project planning teams.

Post-Contract Activities:

- Prepare and verify work measurement sheets, RA Bills, and client billing.

- Handle subcontractor billing, payment verification, and final settlement.

- Review and manage variations, deviations, and change orders.

- Track and control project costs against approved budgets.

- Maintain cash flow reports, cost statements, and MIS reports for management review.

- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and site teams to ensure smooth financial progress.

- Maintain updated documentation for contracts, correspondence, and approvals.

- Support management during project audits, claims, and dispute resolutions.

3. Skills & Competencies:

- Expertise in estimation, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and billing.

- Sound knowledge of construction drawings and contract administration.

- Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (CostX, Candy, or equivalent).

4.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Accuracy of BOQs and cost estimates.

- Timely submission of client and subcontractor bills.

- Effective handling of cost variations and claims.

- On-time MIS reporting and project billing accuracy.
