Quantity Surveyor – Pre-Contract

Key Responsibilities

•     Review drawings and carry out quantity take-offs and measurement

•     Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets and cost plans at each design stage, and advise on value for money

•     Assist in preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, with the design teams

•     Update budgets and cost reports as the design changes, and identify and respond to commercial risks.

•     Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors, prepare tender evaluation reports and support negotiations

•     Liaise with clients, design teams and the UAE and KSA project teams on cost and procurement matters

Skills & Requirements

•     Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor at pre-contract stage, in consultancy or contracting

•     Experience preparing BOQs, estimates and tender documents; landscape or infrastructure projects are an advantage

•     Knowledge of measurement standards and contract forms such as FIDIC; GCC experience is an advantage

•     Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, AutoCad and other cost estimating tools.

•     Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

•     Analytical, detail-oriented and able to work to tight deadlines
