Job Description

Location - Bangalore

Salary - Negotiable and as per Industry Standard.

Role Overview-

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for corporate interior fit-out projects.

• Develop cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable rates.

• Prepare rate analysis for materials, labour, subcontractor works, and installation activities.

• Obtain quotations from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

• Prepare comparative statements and analyse vendor quotations for cost, quality, specifications, and delivery timelines.

• Coordinate with design, procurement, project, and execution teams to clarify scope and technical requirements.

• Assist in preparing tender documents, RFQs, budgets, and project cost plans.

• Support procurement by providing accurate quantities, specifications, and commercial inputs.

• Track material and subcontractor rates to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and assist with value-engineering proposals.

• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and highlight potential cost overruns.

• Review design changes and assess their cost impact before implementation.

• Maintain updated cost sheets, BOQ trackers, quotation records, rate databases, and commercial documentation.

• Assist senior team members with tender evaluation, budget revisions, and project cost reports.

• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain revised quotations and resolve pricing queries.

• Visit project sites, when required, to understand site conditions and verify scope for estimation purposes.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs for interior and construction projects.
  • Proficiency in cost planning and cost management for multiple project stages.
  • Experience in cost control and cost reporting to track budgets and expenditures.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Ability to analyze drawings and specifications and provide accurate estimates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and Excel skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams on-site.
