Role Summary:
We are looking for a quantitative research analyst to join our Index and Policy team in the Analytics Division. The successful candidate will bring in at least 3 years of working experience across the finance/quantitative and/or policy domains. The R.A will conduct primary and secondary research, set methodological frameworks, draft proposals and provide quantitative and qualitative insights to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature reviews, desk research, and data synthesis for thematic briefs.
- Write structured analytical reports, policy notes, and presentation decks.
- Integrate quantitative and qualitative insights to build narrative clarity.
- Support client engagements with data-backed insights and visual summaries.
- Demonstrated ability to quantitative aptitude through proven variable selection, normalizing variables, weighting, and index construction.
- Contribute to impact evaluations,needs assessments, and analytical studies using appropriate research and statistical methods.
- Stay informed on emerging policy debates, research methodologies, and data sources relevant to project themes and client needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Statistics, Data Science, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional working experience in a quantitative role.
- Proficiency with a statistical software/tool such as R/STATA.
- Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodology; including literature reviews, data analysis, and evidence synthesis.
- Experience working with datasets using MS Excel and/or GSuites
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce structured reports, policy briefs, and presentation materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in quantitative or research oriented role preferably across the quantitative policy/finance/banking/data science domains
- Experience with research frameworks, including normalization, weighting, aggregation, and sensitivity testing.
- Exposure to consulting, think tanks, development organizations, research institutes, or government advisory projects is an added advantage
- Experience developing policy recommendations, conducting market research from empirical evidence and data analysis.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or GIS platforms is an advantage.
