Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise mechanical inspections at in-house, client, and supplier locations.
- Verify documents and perform inspections on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
- Utilize various inspection equipment, including micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
- Approve or reject items based on document/inspection results.
- Review and verify documentation for certifications, specifications, and conformance to design requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal customers and suppliers to resolve inspection discrepancies.
- Coordinate with customer representatives to obtain product clearances and green cards.
- Scrutinize documents such as QAP, IPD, MDI, BOM, and ATP.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
Other Qualifications:
- Proficiency with various inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects in complex products
