As
Quality Manager, you will lead the India's quality function to deliver world-class performance that supports business growth. You will guide plant and toller quality teams to implement Core GMP practices aligned with current regulatory standards and drive the key components of the Ingredion Global Quality Standard, including Pharma QMS. You will develop and coach talent, lead quality improvement projects, and manage India Quality MIS reporting to business and regional quality leadership.
What You'll Do
- Set and continuously optimize the Ingredion India Quality Management Strategy & Roadmap, and drive consistent implementation across internal sites and tollers.
- Coordinate with Regional/Global Quality, Global Pharma Regulatory & QMS, and documentation teams to meet certification, regulatory, corporate, and diverse customer requirements while improving process agility.
- Lead execution of the Ingredion Global Quality Standard to improve First Pass Compliance (FPC), reduce customer complaints, and strengthen internal/external audit outcomes.
- Act as the primary escalation point for Plant Quality Managerssynthesize complex data, generate insights, and guide precise and efficient actions.
- Advise India Manufacturing and Business leadership on quality priorities; meet regularly with Plant Managers to align on issues, support needs, and talent development.
- Collaborate with regional/global supplier quality to ensure rawmaterial compliance and prevent supplier/tollerrelated quality issues.
- Investigate customer complaints promptly and reduce complaint rates year over year.
- Identify, introduce, and scale best practices in Pharma excipients Quality and Food Safety management.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation to boost quality performance, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
What You'll Bring
- Degree (Master's preferred) in any science field.
- 10 years experience in quality assurance management within the Excipient/API/Bulk Drugs industry, including 5+ years of team leadership; experience in the food industry is a strong plus.
- Solid knowledge of excipients regulations.
- Deep understanding of cGMP for Pharma excipients (IPECPQG; and/or ICH/USFDA/MHRA/PIC/S/EXCiPACT).
- Strong customer interaction experience; strategic thinking and strategy development in quality.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management in complex scenarios; openminded and receptive to feedback.
- High execution speed, resilience under pressure, and strong people leadership. Proficient in MS Office; strong written and spoken English.
- Regular travel required to support plants, new setups, project implementation, and supplier audits across India; able to manage early/late crossregional meetings.
