Job Description
Basic Objectives of the position
Possess strong hands-on knowledge and exposure to machining, heat treatment, and forging processes, along with end-to-end quality handling including in-process control, final inspection, and effective customer handling.
Complete responsibility for all quality initiatives and activities
Strategize the quality standards required and set up systems, bench marking international standards;
Identify quality bottlenecks / incorporate solutions in the QMS.
Quality system certification and upgradation.
Monitor compliance to quality parameters, identify factors leading to non-compliance and corrections thereof.
Identify viable options that would facilitate improvement of manufacturing process;
Periodically conduct quality systems audits
Establish continuous quality improvement mindset within the company;
Ensure no claim from customers
Conduct tests under various conditions, before launching a new product to ensure that no quality problems are encountered
Prompt handling of customer complaints
Ensure that QMS is developed to ease the process, improve productivity and it does not hamper production schedule.
Proactive support to marketing and purchase teams on envisaged quality issues with the customers and vendors .
Training and development of team members
Effective deployment and utilization of manpower
Timely submission of MIS reports
