Job Purpose
The Quality Manager Dana TM4 is responsible for ensuring endtoend quality management for eMotor and eDrive manufacturing. This role leads product and process quality, supports NPI programs, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with IATF 16949 and Dana global quality standards. The position requires strong technical expertise in automotive quality systems, cross-functional collaboration, and customer-centric problem-solving.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage process quality, incoming quality, and customer quality for eMotor/eDrive manufacturing. Ensure robust inspection, defect prevention, and FirstTimeRight (FTR) performance.
- Lead APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and process validation activities as per customer and Dana requirements.
- Ensure assembly line quality including torque control, testing, traceability, and quick resolution of line issues.
- Drive 8D, RCA, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on zerodefect and cost avoidance.
- Support NPI activities including DV/PV, PPAP readiness, and customer-specific requirement compliance.
- Manage customer audits, internal audits, and maintain IATF 16949 and Dana global quality compliance.
- Lead supplier quality activitiesSCARs, approvals, audits, and component quality stabilization for motors/inverters.
- Collaborate with Design, ME, Production, SCM, and Global TM4 teams to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor and report key KPIs: PPM, line defects, FTR, COPQ, warranty, and customer concerns; drive actions to achieve targets.
Education And Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive preferred).1820 years of experience in automotive/EV manufacturing quality.Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and problem-solving methodologies.Hands-on experience with IATF 16949, customer audits, and supplier quality.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage customer interactions.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving capability.
