What This Job Involves
Quality Planning & Compliance:
- Review Quality Plans submitted by contractors and facilitate verification by structural consultants.
- Ensure the approved Quality Plan is rigorously followed during site execution.
- Conduct thorough reviews of Architectural, Structural, and Services drawings to ensure alignment with all architectural features and service requirements.
- Identify and raise RFIs (Requests for Information) for any discrepancies found in drawings, obtaining necessary clarifications from consultants/designers before execution.
- Ensure strict adherence to Bill of Quantity (BOQ) specifications during site execution.
Material & Concrete Management:
- Review concrete design mixes and provide feedback on any discrepancies.
- Oversee trial mixes for all grades of concrete and manage continuous cube testing throughout the project.
- Verify and maintain calibration certificates for all applicable construction instruments.
- Ensure Material Test Certificates (MTCs) are maintained for all relevant construction materials.
- Oversee construction material testing and maintain a comprehensive tracker for all materials.
Site Supervision & Non-Conformance Management:
- Conduct regular site inspections of all structural elements during the construction stage.
- Provide timely feedback to the Project Lead regarding contractor workmanship.
- Issue site instructions for any deviations observed from drawings and specifications.
- Maintain a detailed Construction Checklist for all civil activities.
- Escalate unclosed site instructions to contractor management and convert them into NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when necessary.
- Manage the closing of NCRs efficiently.
- Maintain comprehensive Site Instruction & NCR trackers.
- Lead periodical Quality Audits at the site.
You Need to Have:
Education: BE/BTech Civil/Construction Management preferred.
