Role Objective

To lead and manage the quality function, ensuring that all HVAC products meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role involves developing and implementing quality systems, driving continuous improvement, and managing audits and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Oversee incoming material inspection, in-process quality checks, and final product validation.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
  • Manage supplier quality audits and ensure vendor compliance with specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards applicable to HVAC manufacturing.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
  • Train and mentor the quality team to build strong technical and analytical capabilities.
  • Coordinate with R&D, production, and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product reliability.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 10-12 years in quality management within HVAC or related manufacturing industries.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Master's preferred.
  • Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and manufacturing processes
    • Expertise in QMS, audits, and compliance
    • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Leadership and team management skills
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Performance Metrics

  • Reduction in customer complaints and warranty claims
  • Improvement in first-pass yield and reduction in rework
  • Supplier quality rating improvements
  • Successful completion of audits and certifications
  • Implementation of measurable continuous improvement projects
