Quality Management System (QMS) Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Quality Management System (QMS) professional with experience in aerospace, defence, aviation, precision engineering, or manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards, coordinating NADCAP audits, and driving continual quality improvement across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System in accordance with AS9100 Rev D, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and support AS9100 surveillance, recertification, internal, customer, and third-party audits.
• Coordinate NADCAP audits for applicable special processes and ensure timely closure of audit findings and non-conformances.
• Conduct internal audits, identify compliance gaps, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, and CAPA methodologies.
• Develop, review, and maintain quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
• Monitor quality KPIs, non-conformances, customer complaints, and corrective action effectiveness.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and maintain quality standards.
• Conduct QMS awareness and internal auditor training for employees.
• Support supplier quality assessments, customer audits, and compliance reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Management Systems within aerospace, defence, aviation, precision engineering, or manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in AS9100 QMS management and NADCAP accreditation or audit coordination.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Working knowledge of NADCAP requirements and special process controls.
• Experience with internal audits, customer audits, and third-party certification audits.
• Knowledge of CAPA, RCA, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, and other quality improvement tools.
• Strong documentation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications

• AS9100 Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
• NADCAP-related auditor training
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
