Job Description

Job Summary:**

The Quality Jr. Engineer III at Jabil, Inc. supports the implementation and maintenance of quality systems and processes to ensure product integrity and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. This role involves assisting senior engineers in problem-solving, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality plans, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Conduct basic quality inspections, audits, and tests on products and processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality data, identifying trends and potential issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for non-conforming products or processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment.
  • Support the training of production personnel on quality standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Document quality activities and maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Learn and apply various quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Lean principles).

Job Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
