Role Description The Quality Inspection Engineer Internship – CNC Manufacturing is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. Interns will assist in inspecting CNC-machined components, verifying dimensions and tolerances against engineering drawings, and documenting inspection results using standard quality tools. The role involves supporting quality control procedures on the shop floor, collaborating with machinists and engineers to identify nonconformities, and helping implement corrective and preventive actions. Day-to-day tasks include conducting basic testing of parts and assemblies, maintaining measurement equipment logs, updating quality records, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and process efficiency. Interns will also learn to interpret mechanical and electrical engineering specifications, follow safety guidelines, and adhere to company quality standards and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering concepts relevant to CNC machining, including engineering drawings, GD&T basics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Skills in Quality Control and Inspection, including use of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and documentation of inspection results.
  • Exposure to Testing methods for components and assemblies, with the ability to follow test procedures and record outcomes accurately.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
  • Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and follow established safety and quality guidelines.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn CNC manufacturing and quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with spreadsheets or quality documentation software; prior internship or workshop experience in manufacturing is an advantage.
