Quality Head
Responsibilities:
A. Customer Quality Management
. Act as primary contact for all quality topics with OEM customers
. Lead customer complaint handling, 8D reports, and timely resolution using root-cause analysis tools
. Ensure customer satisfaction, track customer scores, and manage audits
B. Plant Quality Leadership
. Lead and manage the plant Quality team including Quality Engineers, Line Inspectors, and QA Technicians
. Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Quality System requirements
. Drive development, implementation, and maintenance of Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow, SOPs
. Ensure effectiveness of incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities
C. Supplier Quality Management
. Monitor supplier quality performance and drive corrective actions
. Support supplier audits, qualification, and incoming inspection process
. Implement supplier development plans to improve raw material quality
D. New Product Development (NPD)
. Lead APQP / PPAP activities for new programs
. Ensure product validation, quality planning, and customer approvals
. Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Process, and Production teams
E. Quality Improvement & Problem Solving
. Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen methodologies
. Lead cross-functional problem-solving using tools like:
F. Compliance & Audits
. Lead internal and external audits (Customer, IATF, Corporate)
. Ensure compliance with global standards and plant quality guidelines
. Maintain QMS documentation and ensure audit readiness at all times
Critical Skills:
. Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
. Customer management & negotiation skills
. Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making ability
. Proficiency in automotive quality tools
. Hands-on experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions
. Good communication (English & Hindi) customer-handling experience
Educational Qualification:
. B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Automotive Engineering
. MBA in Operations / Strategy (preferred)
Job Requirement:
. B.E./B.Tech - Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial Engineering
. 10-15+ years experience in automotive industry quality functions
. Minimum 5 years in a leadership/managerial role
. Experience working with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 environment
. Preferred certifications: Lead Auditor (IATF/ISO), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
