JD 1 - Senior Automation Engineer – Role SummarySeeking a Senior Automation Engineer (4+ years) with strong expertise in automation design, development, and CI/CD integration. The role focuses on building scalable automation frameworks, improving test efficiency, and embedding quality engineering practices within Agile delivery teams.Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks across UI and API layers.
- Contribute to automation strategy and framework enhancements for improved efficiency and coverage.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Collaborate with Developers, QA, Product Owners, and DevOps teams.
- Perform API and service-level validations along with UI automation.
- Ensure test data preparation and backend validation using SQL.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.
- Identify automation opportunities and reduce manual regression efforts.
- Troubleshoot automation failures and improve framework stability.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality engineering practices.Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in automation using tools such as Playwright, Cypress.
- Experience with API automation and service validation.
- Good programming/scripting knowledge (JavaScript, Java, Python, etc.).
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong SQL skills for backend validation.
- Understanding of Agile, DevOps, and shift-left testing practices.
- Experience with Jira and test management tools.
- Knowledge of version control systems (GitHub) and branching strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
