Project Role : Quality Engineering Lead

Project Role Description : Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Summary:

As a Quality Engineering Lead, a typical day involves guiding a team of quality engineers by coordinating multi-disciplinary planning and integrating various ecosystem components to enhance delivery speed and ensure high-quality standards throughout the application lifecycle. This role requires overseeing the development of comprehensive testing strategies that align with business and functional requirements. The day also includes monitoring and managing testing activities, evaluating key performance metrics, and facilitating effective communication among team members to resolve issues and improve overall testing processes.

  • Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
  • Mentor and support junior team members to foster professional growth and skill development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of quality objectives with project goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to promote best practices within the team.

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Functional Test Planning.
  • Strong understanding of test strategy development and implementation.
  • Experience in defining and tracking key quality metrics to assess testing progress and outcomes.
  • Ability to apply various testing methodologies and principles to complex software environments.
  • Skilled in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing testing lifecycle activities.
  • Competence in identifying and resolving defects through structured testing processes.

Additional Information:

  • The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Functional Test Planning.
  • This position is based at our Pune office.
  • A 15 years full time education is required.
