The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role. They will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, collaborating with automation teams, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This role demands a strong grasp of critical payment rails and the ability to provide end-to-end quality intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Perform manual testing to validate system behavior across payment rails.
  • Identify test cases suitable for automation and provide inputs for scripts.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing for integrated systems and interfaces.
  • Log, track, and verify defects using standard tools.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and analysts for timely issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide insights for improved test coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing, with expertise in payment systems.
  • Strong understanding of critical payment rails: SWIFT, SAMOS, CBPR+, SADC, FX.
  • Experience in manual testing and test case design.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools (Selenium, UFT, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with TCS BaNCS Payments module.
  • Knowledge of cross-border payments, RTGS, and FX workflows.
  • Proficiency in defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM).
  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and migration testing methodologies.
