As a Quality Engineer focusing on manual testing, a typical day involves thoroughly validating software solutions by executing tests aligned with specified requirements and user stories. This role includes designing detailed test cases, meticulously identifying and documenting any discrepancies or defects, and working closely with various delivery teams. The objective is to ensure that each release is dependable and meets user expectations, contributing to the overall quality and reliability of the product throughout the development lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance testing processes and product quality.
- Continuously update and maintain test documentation to reflect current project requirements and changes.
- Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on testing best practices.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Selenium.
- Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience in designing comprehensive test cases based on user stories and requirements.
- Ability to identify, document, and track defects clearly and accurately.
- Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with delivery teams and stakeholders.
