About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. This role is critical in designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies for complex distributed systems and offline-first products. The successful candidate will take ownership of test architecture, ensuring robust and scalable automation frameworks that cover both on-device applications and backend AWS services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet our rigorous standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test strategy development, hands-on experience with UI automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, and API testing expertise using Postman or similar tools. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying quality risks, defining test coverage, and mentoring junior team members. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our testing processes to support our innovative product offerings, particularly those involving synchronization, hardware integration, and offline capabilities.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of Quality Engineering experience, with a focus on distributed systems or offline-first products.
• Proven expertise in test strategy and architecture design, not just execution.
• Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks, particularly Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong API testing skills using Postman or comparable tools.
• Ability to define comprehensive test coverage across on-device applications and AWS backend services.
• Experience in designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks that go beyond simple record-and-replay scripts.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate testing efforts within a team.

• Experience with sync/CRDT-style systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive test strategy that covers offline/online functionalities, synchronization mechanisms, and hardware integration edge cases.
• Define and ensure thorough test coverage across on-device applications and AWS services involved in the product ecosystem.
• Build, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks that facilitate efficient and reliable testing beyond basic UI automation.
• Mentor and guide the Mid QA Engineer within the pod, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate test cycles with the Pod Lead and development teams, ensuring timely and effective testing processes.
• Identify and report potential quality risks and coverage gaps to the Delivery Manager and Pod Lead for proactive mitigation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing methodologies and tools.
