About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data QA Tester / BI Tester to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive data validation processes, ensuring the integrity and quality of data across multiple platforms and systems. Your expertise will support automation initiatives, cloud-based testing, and the validation of complex data pipelines and business intelligence reports. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Testing, ETL, or Business Intelligence testing
• Proficiency in SQL with strong hands-on experience (mandatory)
• Understanding of ETL processes and Data Warehousing concepts such as facts, dimensions, and schemas
• Exposure to BI tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  
  

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, data models, and mappings to understand data flows and transformations
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases for ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Perform data validation using SQL queries to verify data quality and consistency across source and target systems
• Validate BI reports and dashboards against source data, ensuring correctness of visualizations and calculations
• Conduct data reconciliation activities to identify discrepancies between source and target systems
• Test data across structured formats (relational databases) and semi-structured formats such as JSON, XML, and Parquet
• Identify, log, and track defects, working closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolutions
• Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) cycles and other testing activities to ensure comprehensive coverage
• Support automation initiatives by developing scripts using Python or other tools to streamline testing processes
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and developers to understand complex data flows and business logic
  
  

Skills & Expertise

• Strong proficiency in SQL querying, data validation, and understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Experience with ETL testing and data validation techniques
• Ability to validate BI reports with complex business logic
• Hands-on experience with Python for data validation and automation purposes
• Knowledge of modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, and MS Fabric (awareness level)
• Understanding of cloud ecosystems including Azure, AWS, and GCP
